Ministry of Transport Inspects Compliance of Concession Companies across Liberia
On October 17, 2024, a delegation from the Ministry of Transport, led by Hon. Rudolph G. Natt, Deputy Minister for Land and Rail Transport, conducted an important compliance inspection across central and western Liberia, focusing on the counties of Margibi, Bong, Nimba, Grand Bassa, Bomi, Grand Cape Mount, and Gbarpolu.
The primary objective of this inspection was to evaluate how well concession companies are adhering to Liberia’s vehicle and traffic laws. The team checked that these companies are properly registering their vehicles, acquiring necessary driver's licenses and insurance documents, and obtaining eligibility certificates from the Ministry of Transport.
Hon. Natt was joined by key officials including Hon. James K. Momo, Assistant Minister for Administration and Insurance, and Hon. Zunu K. Duyann, Assistant Minister for Land and Rail Transport, along with other staff members.
This inspection is part of the Ministry's ongoing initiative to ensure compliance within the transportation sector, aiming to enhance safety and regulatory adherence in Liberia. The insights gained from this tour will help shape future policies and enforcement strategies to ensure that all transportation operations meet national laws and regulations.
