Ministry of Transport & MAKE GROUP to introduce 5 Commercial Planes for Domestic and International Travels
Monrovia, Liberia – June 5, 2025. The Ministry of Transport has joined forces with “MAKE Group”, a renowned Korean company, to introduce five commercial aircraft dedicated to domestic travel.
This strategic investment aims to transform Liberia’s aviation sector, offering reliable and efficient air travel services across various counties.
During a high-profile meeting held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the Ministry of Transport headquarters in Monrovia, the CEO of MAKE Group expressed his company’s commitment to Liberia’s transport development. He announced that two of the aircraft would be designated for executive charter purposes, while three will serve domestic routes, providing much-needed connectivity across Liberia.
In addition to enhancing domestic travel, MAKE Group has pledged to collaborate with the Liberian government to upgrade Roberts International Airport to international standards, aligning it with the benchmarks set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). This development is expected to improve Liberia’s global aviation standing and facilitate increased economic opportunities.
Transport Minister Sirleaf Ralph Tyler, speaking on behalf of the Liberian government, commended MAKE Group for its keen interest in the nation’s transport sector. He assured the company that the government would extend full support to ensure the successful implementation of this initiative.
Minister Tyler emphasized that the partnership between the Ministry of Transport and MAKE Group marks a significant milestone in Liberia’s journey toward modernizing air and land transportation.
