Monrovia, Liberia – October 24, 2024 – In a significant move to enhance accountability and transparency in the management of road safety funds, Sirleaf Ralph Tyler, the esteemed Minister of Transport, welcomed the establishment of an internal audit committee for the offices of Road Safety International Projects. 
This announcement was made during a press conference held at the National Road Fund of Liberia in Sinkor, attended by key stakeholders, including the Director General of the National Road Fund, Madam Joseta Neufville-Wento, and Minister of Public Works, Roland Giddings.

Minister Tyler, serving as Co-Chair on the board of the National Road Fund, emphasized the Ministry's unwavering commitment to collaborate with the newly formed audit team. “The establishment of this internal audit committee marks a pivotal moment for road safety in Liberia,” he stated. “It will ensure that our operations are not only fair and transparent but also accountable to the citizens we serve.”
The internal audit committee aims to oversee the financial operations related to road safety projects, fostering an environment where resources are utilized efficiently and effectively.
