Monrovia, Liberia – October 25, 2024 – In an inspiring commitment to enhance Liberia’s transportation infrastructure, Minister of Transport Sirleaf Ralph Tyler has vowed to raise $11 million United States Dollars, surpassing the previously set target of $9.2 million United States Dollars for the 2024/2025 national budget. 
This ambitious announcement came during his recent decentralization tour across Margibi, Bong, and Nimba counties, where he engaged with local communities through various radio stations.

Minister Tyler’s tour aimed to connect with citizens directly, addressing their concerns and sharing his vision for improving transportation access in the country. “Our goal is not just to meet our budgetary targets, but to exceed them, ensuring that we have the necessary funds to develop critical infrastructure,” he stated.

A central aspect of Minister Tyler’s plan is the construction of transport hubs in each county. These hubs will provide convenient access for motor vehicle owners, allowing them to register their vehicles and access essential services without unnecessary delays.

“We recognize the challenges faced by vehicle owners in accessing registration services,” he noted. “By establishing transport hubs, we will streamline this process, making it easier and more efficient for everyone.”

The Minister emphasized that these hubs would not only facilitate vehicle registration but also serve as community centers for transportation-related information and support, fostering a culture of road safety and compliance.
