*Ministry of Transport Concludes Field Assessment in Margibi, Bong, and Nimba Counties*
In a significant step towards enhancing service delivery, the Ministry of Transport recently concluded a one-day field assessment in Margibi, Bong, and Nimba counties. The delegation, led by Deputy Transport Minister for Administration, Hon. Archibald S. Abban, and accompanied by Deputy Minister for Land and Rails Transport, Hon. Randolph Natt, identified critical operational challenges at the ministry’s service centers in Kakata, Gbarnga, and Ganta.
During the assessment, the delegation observed that unstable electricity supply at these centers is severely hindering their ability to print driver's licenses and revenue plates, posing serious operational challenges. Despite these setbacks, the centers possess the capacity to serve their respective counties and accommodate clients from surrounding areas.
Minister Archibald S. Abban acknowledged the issues and vowed to improve the facilities to ensure they become fully operational. "We are committed to addressing these challenges to enhance our service delivery. Our goal is to make these centers active and efficient for the benefit of our citizens," he stated.
Echoing these sentiments, Deputy Minister for Land and Rails Transport, Hon. Randolph Natt, commended the staff at the three centers for their dedication and reassured them of the ministry's commitment to system improvements in the near future. "Your hard work is recognized, and we are devoted to making the necessary enhancements to support your efforts and better serve the public," he affirmed.
This assessment is part of the Ministry of Transport's broader decentralization initiative aimed at bringing its services closer to the citizens of Liberia. By improving access to transport-related services, the ministry seeks to facilitate easier and more efficient transport activities for all Liberians.
The Ministry of Transport remains dedicated to its mission of providing reliable and accessible services, and this recent field assessment underscores its ongoing efforts to achieve this goal.
