The Minister of Transport, Sirleaf Ralph Tyler, has issued a strong warning to vehicle owners and operators across the country regarding vehicle registration and driver’s license processing
Minister Sirleaf Ralph Tyler has called on the public to continue carrying out all vehicle registration and driver’s license processes exclusively with the Ministry of Transport, which he described as the only legal authority mandated to perform such functions.
According to the Minister, no other institution or body is recognized by law to issue vehicle plates or driver’s licenses. He warned that beginning January 2026, any vehicle found operating with a license plate not issued by the Ministry of Transport will be impounded by ministry inspectors.
Minister Tyler emphasized that the government will take firm action against illegal operations and individuals involved in unauthorized registration activities.
He further urged vehicle owners and operators to do business only with the Ministry of Transport and to avoid dealing with illegal bodies, noting that compliance will help ensure order, accountability, and road safety across the country.
He made the statement at the official launched of the new released Transport fares for the Liberia Truckers Union, in the Conference room of the Ministry of Transport.
