Monrovia, Tuesday, July 4, 2017: Deputy Transport Minister for Administration & Insurance, Hon. Bushuben M. Keita has commended GIZ’s Out-going Project Director, Doris Popp for the job well done, the level of courtesy and the intrinsic cooperation she accorded the Ministry of Transport aimed at achieving the goal and objectives of the Transition Plan of the Ministry. Deputy Minister Keita also thanked the GIZ family for the technical assistance they continue to provide the Ministry under the auspices of the “MOT-GIZ Capacity Development Project in the Transport Sector” of which employees continue to benefit from both internal and external training programs to help sharpen their skills to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and engender productivity at the Ministry of Transport.


Speaking Tuesday, July 4, 2017 in the Conference Room of the Ministry, Minister Keita has also assured Mr. Ulrich Thueer, incoming Project Director of the GIZ who is also an expert in international transportation, Administration’s cooperation in order to continue on the path of a good working relations and explore other opportunities and expertise needed to transform the Ministry of Transport in pursuit of its ‘Transition Plan’.


Earlier, Madam Popp thanked the Ministry of Transport for the support she received and assured that her successor will closely work with the Administration of the Ministry to identify potential areas of technical assistance.


For his part, the GIZ Incoming Project Director, Mr. Ulrich Thueer said with the wealth of experience, he will work closely with the Administration of the Ministry to succeed in its plan to reform the Ministry.
