December 22, 2016: Transport Minister, Samuel A. Wlue  has called on employees of the Ministry of Transport to make the speedy delivery of processed license plates and driver’s licenses to the public, a priority in the daily discharge of their duties.

Addressing over 250 employees of the Ministry during the first general staff meeting on Thursday, December 22, 2016, in the conference room of the Ministry located on Carey & Warren Streets in Monrovia, Minister Wlue averred that it is only through the expeditions and timely delivery of processed license plates and driver’s licenses to those who legitimately paid for them that the public will positively grade the Ministry. “Let the processed license plates and driver’s licenses expeditiously go to the public,” the Transport Boss emphasized amidst thunderous applause and cheers from the happy employees. He stressed that as a service delivery institution, employees of the Ministry of Transport must see it a moral responsibility on their part daily to ensure customers satisfaction. He warned employees against acts that will undermine government’s revenue collection and bring the credibility of the Ministry into public disrepute.

In another development, Minister Wlue informed the employees that he has persuaded the management of the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA) which has consented to provide one tow truck that will be assigned in the Inspectorate Division of the Ministry. At the same time, he has vowed to also engage a number of airlines in the country including Kenyan Airways with the aim of having them to consider reduction in their fares.

The meeting which lasted for about an hour was very interactive.
