Monrovia, Monday, 11 April 2016:

The Agriculture, Hydrology & Meteorology (AGRHYMET) Regional Center based in Niamey, Republic of Niger, on Thursday, April 7, 2016 donated a consignment of Climate Database Management Equipment to the Ministry of Transport.


Presenting the items to the Deputy Minister for Administration & Insurance, Hon. Bushuben M. Keita, on behalf of the Organization, Mr. Rabiau Mahamane, the Computer Technician said the donation was the Organization way of identifying with the Government and people of Liberia to help in Climate Database Management in the country. Mr. Mahamane expressed optimism that the equipment will be of benefit to the country.


Receiving the items from Mr. Mahamane, Deputy Minister Keita expressed sincere appreciation on behalf of the Government of Liberia to the AGRHYMET Regional Center for the kind gesture and assured that the donation will be properly utilized for the intended purpose. Hon. Keita described the donation as a valuable first step and extended thanks to Prof. Bouafou Kouame Guy Marcel, Acting Director-General of AGRHYMET Regional Center.
Items donated included:

o    1 keyboards (DELL QWERTY USB SN: 47T0BOX)
o    1 flat-faced screen 22 inches (DELL  SN : 36J05JM)
o    1 UPS (APC Backup 650VA, SN: 3B1311X06967),
o    2 mouse USB DELL
o    1 external disc USB 2,5 inches of 1 To (DELL SN: NA53PA9V),
and 1 power strip surge protector of 6 input socket with terminal ground (APC-UK)  are given as donation to the National Meteorological service of  Liberia within the framework of the regional program of the deployment of the updated version of the climatological database management system (CLIDATA) in the CILSS/ECOWAS countries.
