The Government of Liberia announces a joint enforcement exercise for verification of vehicle registration, driver’s licensing, and third party liability insurance documents to begin in Monrovia and its environs on Tuesday February 23, 2016. The inspection and enforcement exercise will be carried out by the Ministry of Transport, the Liberian National Police and the Liberia Revenue Authority.

This year’s enforcement exercise will include checkpoints with measures put in place to ease congestion as well as to avoid multiple inspections of the same vehicle after it has already been cleared.

A Ministry of Transport press release issued in Monrovia Saturday called on vehicle owners to proceed to have their vehicle registration and driver’s licenses updated in order to avoid embarrassment. Vehicles found to not be in compliance will be impounded until all formalities have been completed.
