Thursday: January 21, 2016: Assistant Transport Minister for  Land & Rail-Designate,
 Honorable Kansualism Berk Kansuah has disclosed that teamwork with his bosses and
other staff will remain his daily guide during his tenure at the Ministry of Transport. He stressed that it is only through teamwork that the Ministry of Transport will be more responsive to the needs of the Liberian people.


Appearing for confirmation hearing before the Liberian Senate's Committee on Transport on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at the Capitol Building in Monrovia, the
Assistant Minister-Designate told the Committee that as a technician, he will form time to time make recommendattions to his bosses on important matters in line with his
duties for the contiual growth of the Ministry.

Touching other issues, the Assistant Transport Minister-Designate also promised closer collaboration with other major stakeholders in the transport sector such as the various
road transport unions. He said it is through these collaborative efforts that most of the current problems in the transport sector can be tackled and solved. He also frowned on
arbitrary hiking of transportation fares by commercial drivers which is causing untold hardship for citizens. He acknowledged the critical role of the Ministry of Transport
and assured the lawmakers that if confirmed he will close ranks with his bosses to lift the Ministry to greater heights of progress.

Concluding, the Assistant Minister-Designate thanked Her Excellency Madam Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, President of the Republic of Liberia for his preferment and promised to
justify the confidence reposed in him.
