A three-man delegation from MED-VIEW Airline in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Liberia, Hon. Angela Cassell Bush at her Broad Street Offices.

Briefing the Minister and staff, Mr. Isiaq Na’Allah, Business Development Manager of MED-VIEW Airline, informed her that the purpose for the team’s visit to Liberia is to explore the possibility of establishing air services in the country. He said with peace and stability now reigning in Liberia, his company has decided to invest into the country’s economy. He said negotiations are currently ongoing between his delegation and authorities of the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority.

In response, Madam Bush re-emphasized the growing confidence in the administration of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf that has provided security which continues to guarantee conducive business environment. “The decision of your Company is encouraging and needs to be embraced. As head of the transport sector, I see no reason why we cannot give full support to actualize your dreams to establish air services in Liberia as this will be to our mutual benefits,” the Transport Boss stressed. She emphasized that this decision will further cement the cordial ties already existing between Liberia and Nigeria and enhance regional cooperation.

The team was later joined in the discussions by Mrs. Beatrice N. Archibong, Senior Counsellor for Economic Affairs at the Nigeria Embassy near Monrovia who expressed the hope that the trip of the delegation to Liberia will be very fruitful to further strengthen the friendly ties existing between the two countries.
