MONROVIA: March 25, 2019; The Ministry of Transport in collaboration with the German Technical Cooperation (GIZ) and the European Union (EU) held a 4-days Axle Load Control Workshop at the Bella Cassa Hotel in Monrovia aimed at providing skills, knowledge and understanding of Axle Load Control and Management to ensure the prevention of rapid road destruction.

The workshop commenced on Tuesday, March 19-22, 2019 and participants were trained in various courses consistent with the ECOWAS ALC Regulations, Liberia ALC Act, and Liberia ALC Regulation which are intended to ensure quality axle load control and management in Liberia. It can be recalled that in 2015 the Axle Load Law was passed by the House of Senate for implementation by the Ministry of Transport.

The workshop which brought together participants from the Ministry of Transport   closed on Friday, March 22, 2019 and participants were presented certificates of participation. The beneficiaries were urged to make the maximum use and application of knowledge acquired for the growth and development of the transport sector of Liberia.
