Minister Wlue Officially Launched Joint Vehicle Registration Enforcement Exercise In Monrovia

A joint Motor Vehicle, Driver’s License, Eligibility and Insurance Compliance Inspection has been officially launched by the Minister of Transport, Hon. Samuel A. Wlue, in Monrovia.


Officially launching the exercise before the Ministry of Transport Carey/Warren Streets on Monday, June 11, 2018, Minister Wlue thanked members of the Joint Team comprising of the Liberia National Police, Inspectors of the MOT and Officers of the Monrovia City Police for services rendered their country over the years. He said inspection exercise is one of those sacrificial tasks expected to be undertaken by them in the interest of their country and he expects to see nothing less than Zeal, honesty, commitment and professionalism to ensure its success. He strongly urged the joint team members to treat the public with courtesy. He also stressed public safety as one of the key thing that the teams must ensure during the exercise. He warned senior staffers from interfering with the process by intervening on behalf of those in violation by calling inspectors in the field to release impounded vehicles.


Liberia National Police Chief of Public Safety, John K. Saah, for his part, also urged members of the joint team to exhibit discipline and professionalism in the discharge of their duties. He demonstrated publicly the tag which members of the LNP assigned with the joint team must exhibit. He warned Police officers not assigned with the teams against posing as team members.


The occasion was witnessed by all Deputy and Assistant Ministers of the Ministry of Transport and other senior LNP and Monrovia City Police Officers.
